My first Unity game, Krakatora

I created this game for the Unity contest over at Kongregate.com. The project took about 5 weeks, this included learning unity and all that.

I’ looking for some feedback. I tried to train the player just enough so they could learn more advanced manoeuvring their own and extrapolate strategies based on the basic knowledge given to them. But I didn’t have any testers really and so I’m very curious how it actually works. Since I made the game I’m not only biased towards it but have also played it so much I can’t see what newcomers see, I can imagine, but that’s mostly useless.

Here’s a link you can click to play the game:

Interesting, though I found the controls extremely awkward to use.

What did you find awkward about them?

That was pretty cool, although I got stuck on a corner.

My main complaint is with the controls, especially with the dash. I found that it often failed me when I most needed it. I also disliked that I could only walljump in one direction.

Nice atmosphere but frustrating and irritating… also I don’t like all that black around.
