My first unity game (very original title, i know...)

Hallo everyone,
I am not very good with text… or programming  but in short… here is my very first “almost finished” game!
Link: Hexmos by mortto
(its a puzzle games where you have to align tile symbols to all the neighbours match)

I did some other prototypes in the past, but was never happy enough with an idea in order to finish it… and this project was no different, but this time I thought I will finish it no matter what so I have at least finished “something”

In the menu only the play button works and difficulty settings are missing, but I thought ill share it anyway since it shows the concept of the game good enough to get a feeling for it.

Let me know if you have some improvement ideas // suggestions and or questions about my experience with my first game, ill be happy to answer them!
One thing I can tell you upfront, making a working prototype is like 20% of the actual work… finishing something is a lot more harder then I imagined before… I am not even done yet…

Thanks for testing and looking forward to your feedback!

comn guys… show some mercy… I am kinda prod of this game and would really love some feedback, even if its negative!

Looks awesome and minimalistic!

Seems kinda difficult to get the hang of it. Maby you should include some tutorials and/or documentation to get new players started. Also sometimes the pieces wont snap to the place where I move them, takes some tries until I can finally get to swap a piece with another. The artwork is awsome, keep up the good work but it’s far from finished.

@EpicDuque yeah that was already sugested and I am working on it. First I wanted to make a small levels with jsut 3 tiles to teach ppl, but now I think that a small Gif animation with 3 tiles will explain the goal good enough… but its in working!
And the bug… well… no idea what it does that. I know it does sometimes, but didnt find a reason why. I guess my code is not very good and probably slow and thats cousing it, but yeah… its a bug and I know about it, just didnt found the problem yet ^^

@hippocoder Thanks :smile:

looks nice

Keep it up!

A small update.
I just setup the hardest difficulty to test how easy//hard it is to solve the puzzle that way.
The game has 2 more stones and some more variations… like its possible now to have all the tiles but 1 to fit to each other, if that happens to you, its not a bug… its by design, just try some other combination
The link is still the same.

I’ve got to say this is like 1000 times better than my first game :o

Heh… thanks! but to be fair, its still a very messy prototype on the inside… its just with a few textures on the outside to make it look a bit better ^^
