My gizmos are stuck in one place.

So I’m not sure how this happened but when I try to move my 3d objects around the gizmo doesn’t move with them. It just stays in one position. This isn’t a problem with the way I exported my assets as they were working fine before. Please help me.

unity 2020.2.6f1 issue has reappeared, blank project, only imported post processing and probuilder…

Same here. 2020.2.6f1. Post processing, no Probuilder.

(reposting from Transform pivot is stuck in the same position, no matter what gameobject I select - Questions & Answers - Unity Discussions )

this happens to me too on 2021.2.0f1 + no probuilder

switching between center / pivot mode, or local / global mode, doesn’t do anything

work around 1: restart unity editor (which is annoying)

work around 2: select the 6th transform tool (multi tool / transform tool)?.. for some reason, that seems to reset the transform gizmo or handle system for me and then I can switch back to move / rotate / scale and use them as usual again

Not working for me any new ideas?7654189--954730--upload_2021-11-13_16-12-20.jpg

Switching to the multi-tool (scale/rotate/move) helped me

Workaround #2 for me, thanks a lot!

Yep, workaround 2 also worked for me.

Worked for me 2021.3.40f1, thank you

Five years later and I just had the same “stuck gizmos” issue doing the first tutorials in Unity…
This after struggling to rebind my AZERTY keyboard, and Unity randomly binding a different key than the one I pressed…
My first impressions of Unity is that it’s both a fantastic tool and a buggy mess at the same time.
I’m not using a beta version either, I’m on Unity 2022.3 so they had 2 years to fix these bugs but didn’t manage to.

Still happening in Unity 6. Luckily the workaround still works.
