Hey folks, my names Matt and I just started work on a new project a few days back. I guess you could say this is the second game that I’ve made with Unity. Not much is done yet but I just wanted to share a few screenshots with you all. Lot’s of work still needs to be done to improve the games graphical quality, the spiders being one example. Some pieces you may recognise from the Unity asset store. The first image is right at the beginning of the game where the player has awoken to find himself atop a mountain. The second image shows the view from just outside the cave, it looks kind of bare at the moment as more stuff needs to be added
, the third screenshot shows the player walking towards a pillar with no sign of trouble however images four and five show how some snow spiders have emerged from under the snow and are attacking. I look forward to hearing your feedback and would also like to take this opportunity to wish you a happy new year! ![]()
This looks pretty good for your second attempt. But yeah, the biggest criticism I have would actually be the contrast between the color of the fog and the color of the sky…
Thanks for the comment, I’ll try changing the fog to a better suited colour. I may be disabling it entirely, not too sure yet. ![]()
I would recommend keeping it on, but just changing the color of it. Also, once you do a graphical overhaul on the game (texture-wise), there will be plenty of contrast between the two.
you got a name?
No name yet, I wanted to call the game “Trials” or something like that as it would fit with the story but I’m pretty sure there are already a number of bike games with the same name so I may have to think of something else. ![]()
I’d honestly work on the terrain, the terrain doesn’t look normal. No where on earth would you see this type of terrain. Look at google, find some references.
The terrain wasn’t supposed to represent anything that is real, just some snow covered mountain and I have been looking at various images on Google. I haven’t touched the terrain in picture two much which I admit needs a lot of work. ![]()
Well I’ll tell you, looks nothing like mountains.
Well how would you suggest I improve them? ![]()
