so been using probuilder in my other project for a while now.
Started a new project, Unity 2019.3.9, like my other project, installed the latest verified version of probuilder, 4.2.3, and my UI is all messed up.

Not messed up. It’s just that there are two toolbar display modes (Text or Icon) for the toolbar and you can freely switch between them. By default, it appears in Text mode (the one you have right now).
You can change that by either going into the ProBuilder Preferences window or by right-clicking on any empty space in the toolbar.
Oh thank you! Makes me feel stupid lol, can’t recall ever changing this in the past.
