Are you talking about “terrain trees” or models youve placed out yourself? If you use terrain trees, you could try to adjust either the Tree Distance, Billboard Start or Fade length under the Terrain Settings. I suspect that there
s something wrong with the Fade Length - the time the tree “morphs” between the billboard and the mesh tree.

My trees hover about a foot above the ground and then land like space rockets when I walk up to them. I’m new and on unity Indie 2.5 and I can’t find the settings you mention above which sound like they may be the problem.
Do you have any idea where they are on 2.5?
