Hi everyone, I posted this thread at /r/Unity3D about my work-in-progress vim setup for C# coding for Unity3D a while ago. I’m cross-posting it here in the hopes that it will generate a bit more discussion. (The last vim thread here is over 2 years ago.) I’ve got to believe there are more vim users here! Love to hear from you (either here or on the Reddit thread, as you prefer). There are definitely challenges to getting it all set up correctly, especially with auto-completion, and it would be great to share knowledge about what works.
Someone posted a reply (according to the Unity forum email notifications) linking to this useful-looking article on how to set up vim for C#. The reply has disappeared so I’m adding this so the link is easily available.
VsVim has been sufficient for me. I get all of the benefits of Resharper and I get most of what I use in vim.
I’ve recently started toying about with Unity’s linux editor, and the loss of Resharper has been devastating. No amount of vi can bring that back
The best part of this thread is the delight at finding others using vi to code still.
I may not always use vi to code, but when I do, I am highly-effective at it!
