N Square Google Hackathon

Hi Unity Devs,

I’m writing to you because my organization (N Square, a nuclear weapons innovation fund) is hosting a Cardboard hackathon on 5/9 and 5/10 at the HUB in San Francisco, California - the challenge is to create a Google Cardboard game/experience/app that sparks public imagination and conversation about the threats associated with nuclear weapons. It’s free and we’re giving away $1000 in prizes to the best concepts. Google Cardboard is a VR headset that uses a phone and basic cardboard set of goggles to provide a cheap alternative to Virtual Reality tools like Oculus Rift. Google has a SDK out for Unity that will allow developers to easily port their creations to that format.

If any of you are interested, feel free to sign up as either individuals or teams. The Eventbrite listing is below and will fill in the rest of the details.

For a second I thought you were recruiting people to hack together some innovative nuclear weapons. Glad I was wrong.

I won’t be anywhere near San Fransisco, or the USA for that matter, but best of luck with your event.
