Names aren't' displayed entirely in Project

Hi.

Every time I use the search bar, only the first characters of the file names are displayed. It makes it impossible to know which is which.

Can we have a better display?

How about switching to list mode, instead of icons? that way full names are displayed.
You can do this by bringing the zoom slider at the bottom of the project window all the way out (to the left).

If you’re in icon mode and zoomed in too close, names will be chopped off if they don’t fit in a single line, which kinda makes sense if you think about it as otherwise the possible options would be any combination of:

  • icon placement all over the place.
  • multiline names, with some icons’ names overlapping icons in the row beneath them.
  • variable font sizes, which is rather annoying.

Thanks a lot that worked.

I display the project window in one column layout. I don’t know why Unity doesn’t match that display in the search view if it is available.
