They are in an unfun spot. Any leeway they give especially involving urls is immediately abused to the limit by bots (as we have seen in the past)

What is the status of this? Unity could really use something like this even it’s not quite as good as unreal.
Technically it’s available now. It’s just part of the Unity China release of the engine rather than the global one.

what a texture workflow would be like?
Currently use ZBrush to Unity.PBR
in Unity what would the Texture asset creation pipeline be like using Nano Tech?
Would we polypaint the mesh in ZB and export FBX?
It is for Unity not for Unreal and I don’t see any alternative. I wish Unity supports him and we get this technology sooner. So I don’t see the point on that regard.
