I just finished watching avatar for the 7th time.
I think I’m in love with Natiri.
Bye!

Leave your TV set alone!
Why would you say that? Now it is extremely likely that this gets turned into flame wars over how crappy or good that movie was.
It was a great film in 3D. Don’t think I’ll watch it on video though. Without the novelty of 3d immersion and all the stuff there is to look at, the film is only soso as far as story and acting goes.
The fact that I like it at all says a lot though. I’m one of those people that prefer to read books than watch movies and have a hard time finding anything I really like.
Um, no, I just was teasing you about wanting to make love… um you know, with her, on the tv
It’s a great movie.
Proud to say I didnt watch that movie and never will! BOOM
I don´t know, she is kinda… blue?!
I think the voice actress has more going for her than her avatar.
I think she’s ugly, needs to eat a few hundred soyburgers, and looks too old for her age.
I loved the movie. Regardless, if I were avatar-ized, I don’t think I’d be attracted to even a beautiful person, who also got avatar-ized. That terminator Perseus guy sleeping with a smurfcat was a little on the bestial side, for my taste.
Still, anything’s better than this.
Good 3D special effects, gorgeous from a technical standpoint. However, the plotline for me was too much. I felt the whole story ended up being a writing session of: “ok, that’s epic, but what would make that more epic?” kind of thing. Eg: “What would make this more epic? The animals show up in the final fight? and what would make that more epic? they aid the natives instead of eating them? and what would make that more epic? … and what would make that more epic? etc etc etc” Idk, for me the writing lacked much depth and even seemed hysterically predictable, but at least the special effects and 3D world was the most realistic and jaw dropping CGI I have ever seen.
My score is 2.5 stars out of 5.
Amazing visuals, story to be desired.
Don’t do it unless you want to see 3d smurfs do a different version of pocahontas!
I assume that’s just because you saw Pocahontas before Avatar, right? : P
Actually I didn’t notice the extremely similar plot line as Pocahontas until someone pointed it out to me lol . Mainly, it was the bad writing of dialogs and simple characters that was a huge issue with me. Dramatic moments were ruined by predicitble plot lines, characters were cut and paste traditional stereo types to perfectly fall into their roles. I really wasn’t a fan of the plot at all. Too simple, too predictable, too already been done to death before. Also, the political stabs and content could have been left out. Seriously? “Shock and Awe”? I prefer my movies and games to ignore a political underlying message and want them to be art forms by themselves. I prefer to be entertained, not force fed someones agenda/propaganda.
I found that was the only good thing about the movie, lol.
I entirely missed the Pocohontas plotline until just now as well.
I like movies with simple characters and predictable plotlines because then I can just spend the time in the IMAX ogling at 10 foot brightly colored flowers.
Avatar also bore a striking similarity to Aliens 2, the Lion King and Ferngully.
