Navmesh at runtime????

Hello,

I read many posts about making a navmesh at runtime and how it is not possible, although it was listed as to appear in Unity 5 at some point. I was simply wondering if it is included in the latest Unity and how it can be implemented? Otherwise has there been any sort of workaround that uses the built in navigation system?

I created a procedural 3d level generator and am now working on navigation and it shockingly appears as if this functionality (generating a navmesh for my procedurally runtime created level objects) is not supported.

Thanks,

Ben

Before you go out buying expensive solutions to this problem you might want to check the Unity Roadmap.

This functionality is scheduled for v5.5 due on June 7th.

Functionality doesn’t exist as of 3/4/2016. Answer is to use assets from the asset store, namely Aron Granberg’s Astar Pathfinding Project.

Its possible Now,
