We’re working on a small 3d side scrolling adventure game.
The character is Tosk, a cave man who wants to save his kidnapped wife.
Actually we have stage 1 complete with a boss too.
Stage 2 is complete, but it still needs a boss.
As soon as I finish it, I’ll post it here too.
So, gameplay is very simple:
*Arrow keys move
*Z uses attack 1 (use to smash the small enemies)
*X uses attack 2 (use this to counter the stones)
*Space bar jumps
*The game supports gamepads
This video is a bit outdated, but it shows another character, the pterodactyl who will help Tosk.
So we’ll add some flying stages too.
About the camera, I’ll fix it, because there’s already other people who pointed that too.
(About Big Nose, lol, I didn’t know that game when I started this one haha, I never played NES).
Check this video, it shows the second stage boss:
Here’s a little GIF, showing one of its animations, ‘Punching Tosk’:
I’ve noticed in the video you get hit by the porcupine when you jump up and down. You should make sure you can see the enemy down there.
Try looking at the new donkey kong country for the wii Oldskool platform remake. Has kinda the same setting and feeling to it. Overall look missing shadows.

You’re right, as soon as possible we’ll fix this issue.
We’re using Unity Indie, so, no shadows lol
We’re working on the third stage, where you can fly with Pteros.
In the aerial stages, gameplay will remember that r-type games, with power ups, different kinds of ammo, bosses etc.
As soon as I finish the second enemy I’ll update the webplayer for you to play.
hey spaceMan-2.5, obrigado pela visita!
Perhaps the dinosaurs remember you of the game lol
So, after a long time I’m back to bring you some news of the game.
Third stage is complete, with power ups and boss too!
As soon as possible I’ll update the site and post more screenshots.
I finished a short animation sequence that will be the introduction, but I still need to put sound effects and voices in the characters.
As soon as I finish this I’ll put the demo version on web, which already has initial menu and a basic save system to store the stage which the player stopped.
Congratulations for finishing your demo. Funny graphics and nice style, also some real cool ideas (the flying dino or the bonus rounds for example)
What bugged me most was the timing for the slay, especially, wenn you have to bat back those rocks from the gorilla. You have to click even before the rock is thrown, in order to really hit the rock.
This is really creative and fun, nice job. The controls are a little strange, hard to play. I think it should be something more like wasd, space to shoot. X is just so inconvenient.

lol this is really the most complained thing, we’re having a hard time adjusting the difficulty of hitting the rock, but we’ll change it of course, until players are satisfied.

You can change the keys trough “Input” tab when you launch the game.
