Need Access to Nature/SoftOcclusion RenderTex Camera

I’m in the process of making the legacy SoftOcclusion trees work in the Built-In render pipeline for a day night cycle scenario. Since these tree billboards are some of the best performing and very good looking, allowing to render tens of thousands of trees for kilometers, I’d love to get this working. Main problem I have right now though is that the render textures background seems to bleed into the texture and since the background rendered against is a gray this looks awful at night. Can anyone tell me if / how I can get access to the camera being used to render those billboards so I can set the backgrounds color to ambient light color?
