I tried searching google and looking at past posts but they don’t seem to address my problem. I can’t seem to get unity to recognize a wireless xbox 360 controller which means whenever I try to go into the input settings, I don’t have any sort of recognition of the controller at all. Does anyone have any idea what to do?

I haven’t looked into using 360 controllers with Unity in a while but last time I did I thought you had to use a wired controller. And it has to be a regular wired controller, not one with the wired pack that clips onto a wireless controller. Maybe something has changed since then, but I’m pretty sure it has to be a wired controller.

Well, I was able to get the buttons to sort of work. The problem is that the object I’m controlling freaks out and either skyrockets or plummets depending on what direction I control on the analog sticks. Still having troubles and being a slow programmer, this is probably going to take a while.
