This is first of all, not the right section to post your Render, nor is it the right place to ask questions regarding 3DS Max or anything alike.
To give you my opinion about the model, it’s nothing special, and I think at this stage, you should consider getting into 3DS Max first instead.
We do need a place to show user made assets, the showcase is really for unity prototype and I think we do need a sub forum for created asset.
I need help with the animation part of 3ds max.
you should listen to the feedback you get, the fountain doesnt look like a fountain, it looks like a cog with a cd in the middle, learn the software first before you make anything.
Actually there is a section for posting this kind of stuff. Its called External Tools. And Chris stop posting stuff everything in collaboration.
External tools is kinda vague, thats why no one use it as much, it is full of software problems, thats why people who sell assets, or need some feedback come to the collaboration page.
An animation is saved wih the .max file, if you mean exporting the animation with the model,
then select to have the animation exported in the FBX export dialog.
If you mean rendering the animation, use the render button,
but you will have to set the frames to render in the render dailog window in Max (default keyboard shortcut F10)…
Ok thankyou for your help.
If the particle system you are using is from within 3ds max I don’t think it will export most 3d modeling packages have self contained particle packages that don’t export. For example if I try to make hair in blender it would not go into unity, that aside most of those particle systems are performance heavy and mostly used for rendering anyways.
But really… that does not look like a fountain at all.
its my first model, so its a start
thankyou.
Oh yeah, I was focusing on the term “animation”, not the fact that it was a fountain.
You will probably need to use Unity particles for your fountain.
