I am planning on making a game like Infinity blade for PC.
I have good programming experience in C#
I am new to Unity and 3D modelling.
I just want to make a demo of game play like infinity blade, only the interactions of the sword fight and the actions will be done using keystrokes. I don’t expect it to be graphically good as the actual infinity blade.
How much time will it require to do in Unity?
What resources do I need to get started?
Hi, as far as time is concerned that is completely dependent on your workflow efficiency. So to begin with I would suggest you make a small document detailing and planning how your going to make your game. For example say the combat system, plan out what scripts will be needed all together to make it work and then how the scripts themselves will work e.g. How will you detect and apply damage etc… As for resources you could browse around on the asset store, or visit blendswap (if you have blender) and use others models. But you can also use what is refered to as programmers art to begin with, which is just bad quality models or even a bunch of cubes which give you a visual representation of the game and how it works. Sorry this isn’t the answer you were looking for but the question itself is to open ended.
hi im trying the same just for fun but my experience is more in animation. i did a small game with locomotion on the basic of lerpz tutorial worked fine. But now i use mecanim and i need remake so much in coding thats not my part:(. im a bad scripter. maybe we can do together:).
