hello people this is my new WIP Character For The RPG Project That im going Startup in Some Weeks , Please if you Got a minute leave a reply here to Talk about How the spartan (MAIN CHARACTER) would you like to look like!
i’ve got in my mind this kind of things :
muscular Face body with scars , big spear, BIG shield , Different kind of outfits , one with golden armor the Default outfit of spartans , different kind of helmets and im going to write about the storyline of the character. THE GOOD THING is that im from greece and i know a almost everything about greek mythology and i think its going to help me a lot with my project,im not going to be alone. im going to work with at least 6-7 people on the project.first im going to create a demo, then im going to prepare it for the indiegogo for funding and if funding goes perfect.project will be out!
google body building images. Only if youre going for realism though.
What youve done aint bad. but there are a few problems I pick up straight away…
The shoulders and upper arms dont look attached properly. Looks like the upper arm sits too low for the shoulder muscles. I just think your arm pits need to go higher
The torso, arms, and upper abdomen are OK. The head too long. The fingers short. The face too long. Legs too short. Lower abdomen, legs, and feet are undeveloped. But that’s compared against the expected ‘average’. In that’s the look you want for your character it’s OK except the underdeveloped lower part of the body looks unnatural. Maybe he’s Professor X?
Men generally don’t have an hourglass body shape - his waist is too skinny. Also, you have some things way out of proportion, as goat said: the head is too long (top to bottom) as is the neck. The hip to chest area is also too long while his legs are too short. And the feet are tiny. This might help a little since it shows some muscle placement. Obviously don’t go after just one picture if you want to create your own human:
Make sure when re-proportioning the body, you are basing it off of some kind of reference so that any fixes you make don’t come up willy nilly looking just as funky as before.
hey @jesseoffy@JamesLeeNZ thanks for feedback! you know what? if you get a close look to the head you will note that the head is too long because the model is going to have some face hair like king leonidas , i dont blame you the character is untextured yet and its a bit hard too understand plus has not clothes and equipment yet the legs are not touched but these days im gonna post an update and again thansk for feedback!I would love to see more opinions guys
I’m also curious if the shape of the character model is a specific design as the model itself is not very anatomically correct. The image attachment that Jesseoffy provided does represent an anatomically correct human form, although many humanoid forms may vary per application. Regarding the model, and your last response. If your model is using normal maps, you can use normal maps to represent detail derived from a high resolution mesh which is what it looks like you’re doing. This will allow you to simulate facial hair, as well as hair without the need to create separate objects for them.
@Maxtor yeap thats excactly what im working on , i am going to post soon the finished model w/o textures and then with your feedback i can update it and do the best i could do for the model to become a fine spartan worrior with animations and ready to smash some enemys in unity engine (:!!!
