Need some help with liquid particles blend shader

Hello there!, I tried googling a lot and could not find much info about this subject, what I want is a good looking “spheres” blending shader, is for a fluids scene, now to have an idea I’m looking to do something similar to this:

This game is puddle, and maybe the effect is too advanced, maybe something simpler will work, I just need like to blend the spheres(is a 3d game) to look like metaballs or blob particles and some way to spot the borders, so is like taking the objects and remove all shading but add a border, like this:

I’m asking this because I’m too noobish with shaders still but need a shader that could achieve a similar effect, so if you where I can find a shader like that I would really appreciate it, as I said I could not find even a bsic one in goole :confused:

I found a simplest way to get what I’m looking for XD, first thing is using 2D as 3d, I grabbed a quad and attached a particle with soft borders, then set the material to additive, the 2 quads when near will then create the “ghosthing” or metaball effect, now the blurry edges, that can be solved by putting a second quad at the same position, that quad uses a particle texture with solid border(non blurred) and black coloured, orwhatever you wantyour borders to look like, then these quadsmust be placed in another layerthat will be drawn first, so you need 2 cameras, you draw the black quads firstthen the blurry ones over, and…that is pretty much, each quad have the look at camerascript XD, so it looks 3d, maybe I can use sprites or something for fastest result, but looks like this:

So well, maybe is not best approach but it works XD
