Hello. I’m still working on the character I was working on a month ago and think it’s improved alot. However, i’m really stuck on this characters abdomen. I can’t seem to think of a design that matches the style of the robot but also allows organic movement without revealing massive gaps to show the insides of the bot. I thought about useing a hardlight material to enforce the fact that energy is flowing through this bot in all the bendy places but i’m still not sure. Any thoughts on how any of you would do it would be appreciated. This is still my first model ever and i’m still learning. The last picture is a rough idea what the blue hardlight would look like. It’s a very very rough version and very much a placeholder though
A little side note if someone knows a good youtube video that teaches how texturing and bump maps works in blender or even how to make textures I would really appreciate a recommendation. Also if i’m not allowed to post stuff like this here let me know
