I was checking my app sales today like always and I came across something I have not seen yet after 4 months of looking. Today I had an actual negative sale. Is this a typo from piano or did someone actually somehow get a refund?

Yeah, unfortunately that isn’t a typo, that means that someone requested (and got) a refund.
I didn’t even know refunds were possible O.o
That also begs the question why the hell I’m giving back the full $.99 when apple took 30% of the initial sale?
It’s all in the contract that you agreed to. You did read it, right? ![]()
Apple’s policy is that all sales are final; however, if you complain enough, they’ll give you a refund. But they keep track, and will only do that a few times before they start telling you “tough luck”.

no you refund the .7 take a look at your royalty price
I believe the Apple contract reserves the right to make you pay the full price on a return. The only returns I’ve seen have been for the royalty price. I assume that language is in their so they have a big hammer if they need one.
They must have been pretty pissed with your product to demand a refund ![]()
People want refunds for all sorts of random reasons. I had a guy write to me asking for a refund because he clicked the wrong button and bought my game accidentally (he said). Naturally I was unable to oblige, given that I am not Apple and don’t run the App Store (alas).
Pretty much everyone gets a few refunds if your sales are high enough. I’ve had a handful; given that it’s < .01% of sales, I can’t bring myself to care.

It poked my eye out and killed my cat!
LOL ya i wouldn’t worry about refunds too much, they are part of doing business. Don’t take it personal
