Nested hierarchies, are they okay to do?

Just wondering: I want to group like 2 thousand random static level chunks of geometry in my scene under one gameobject so I can easily collapse the hierarchy and organize my scene in the inspector view. Is there a performance cost for nesting objects within a few game objects, like Level—>Walls—>MeshChunk001.

Not a problem. Sometimes my gameobjects are like folders, to group, collapse and move them in one go.
