I thought I will post the news about that here as well since there are quite a few CINEMA 4D users on board here as well. However, the magazine contains also some good info on normal mapping and C4D/Unity workflows plus UV editing and such. Here is a list of what’s in this month:
February 2007 Highlights:
• Interview with 3D/CG Artist Nigel Wood
• UV’s and BodyPaint - A Quick Guide
• Mr. Simple “Rigging and WalkCycle” Part 3
• “Shiny Crate” CINEMA 4D/UNITY Tutorial
• Cup of C.O.F.F.E.E. Part 8 (Let’s make our first plugin!)
• Spotlight on Gerald Double
• CINEMA 4D News
• CINEMA 4D Q&A
• Normal Mapping with CINEMA 4D
• Best of CINEMA 4D Gallery
• Peugeot Design Contest Entry
• 118 MB of Goodies
why aren’t these tutorials ported to Maya!!! Cinema4D is the app for those who don’t know how to use a real 3D app! I’m sick of having to go and buy a new 3D app everytime a new magazine comes out that doesn’t support 50% or the 3D market. Obviously Maya is a superior app and one shouldn’t have to go and buy licenses for these 3d apps, because you are too lazy to port you tutorials to Maya… and don’t get me started on pixels3d!
… oops sorry wrong thread… I’m not a troll I promise!
great job again. can’t wait until your unity magazine is released.
You got me laughing! Well maybe somebody needs to start a Maya related magazine? Anyways, thanks for the posts guys. Hope you like the magazine. As for the Unity magazine…I am working on it. I am talking to a few guys who will be contributing so hopefully in about a month or so we are ready to launch the first issue!
I have a subscription to the mag and very happy to see the Unity content in the last couple of months. The new Unity mag sounds absolutely great so count me in for a new subscription.
