New and cluless 2d game

Hello I would really like some help with learning this program.
Over the last week all I have figured out is how to make a ball bounce on a block.

I would like to make a simple game. I have no idea on how to make a background, all the info that I have found talks about making them move.

I would like to learn how to make something like where’s my water with the removal of the dirt when touched, also how to make borders and solid things that cant be changed.

I am lost and don’t know how to start but I really want to learn how to do this.

Please help me I need basic step by step help/tutorials.
