New AR-Kit features - motion tracking and people occlusion

Anyone have more info 2 share on these 2 new features of AR-Kit announced during the WWDC keynote?
Do they require depth sensing capabilities of iPhoneX?

Is there an ETA for their support in Unity?

My body is ready for motion capture.

In a point cloud mapping SDK, you can have an actor move around infront of you while you record their motions.

You then replay their motions with a 3d model inside the point cloud map.

It’s basically the future of entertainment. You can have live theatrical scenes in real world places.

Pixar won so many awards for 3d movies.

Who is going to win awards for 3d movies in specific spots in the real world?

Maybe me, but probably not. I’m still shocked by how the majority of people dont utilize point clouds for anchoring objects all around an area that can be loaded later or by anyone.

Anyone following/building AR the past 5 years can pretty much prophesize the next 5 if you are paying close enough attention

Image Anchor → Plane Anchor → Point Cloud Anchor: is the evolution of how we place things.

I really need the human body mocap feature!

Hi, I’m trying to create the people occlusion. I’m, currently experimenting what components it is.
Any insight what to use from the ARFoundation? it seems there’s no example scene regarding occlusion yet or am i missing something?

You can pick up a 2019 iPad mini for $400. That’s way cheaper than buying a new iPhone.
