New Cloud Build pricing scheme is madness

I used to pay ~ 10$ For Unity Teams Advanced, and I could build as many times as I wanted, and for any platform I wanted.

In fact, I used to run an iOS, Android and Windows build a few times a day.

Now each build minute on Mac costs me 0.07$. For my 15m builds, that’s 1,05 dollars PER BUILD.

And that’s for one build for one platform!

That’s not even considering that, and I quote, “it’s $10 per build machine concurrency”, whatever that means.

Am I missing something? Is this a typo of some kind?

In order to build as much I used to, it’d cost me hundreds of euros!

unity what the hell. Indie studios relied on your Cloud Build system! And yes, one can keep the team advanced subscription, but for how long?

I can’t express how disappointed I am by this - little by little Unity is forgetting its older customers in favor of industries with more money and manpower.

Perhaps worst of all is the fact that this was announced in a hidden forum post with no warning… I’m willing to bet the title of the post is knowingly vague to bury it even further.

And you called it “your vision”. Thanks a a lot, great vision! How brilliant to raise the price exponentially, such visionaires!

I read the new pricing and i strongly believe there’s a typo somewhere. For us it is normal for a cloud build to take around 100 minutes to complete. In fact 3 out of 10 most recent cloud builds took 160 minutes to complete. So at 100 minutes per cloud build, it would cost us $7 for a single cloud build. When the new pricing scheme is activated, if this pricing scheme is correct, they’ll lose one customer in an instant… And i’m not sure how many developers are willing to pay $5-10 for each build

This has to be a mistake.

1 dollar for 1 build is an insane spike from 10$ a month for unlimited builds :frowning:
