New Cloud Diagnostics Dashboard

  1. Sorting by columns does not work in the new dashboard. Clicking “#” or “Last occurrence” does change the up/down arrow, but it does not sort the data.

Screenshots

  1. There is way too much unused space between each item in the list. My screen could cover about twice as many items, if the padding between items is smaller. Seeing more items at once is beneficial for me.

  1. The “Details” column displays so few characters, that I have many items that display the same few characters:

If the details could display more characters from the first line, that would be useful.

  1. Unable to search the filter drop-down list. The old dashboard allowed me to search for items in the “Filter” list. The new dashboard does not allow this anymore. This is a huge regression and now costs me a lot of time to find my filters.

  1. The Filter condition is no longer visible. I need to click the filter to inspect the condition. That was a lot more useful in the old dashboard:

Can you tell what remote environment the filter is using? Nope you can’t! You need to click the item to reveal its details:

  1. Just like in the old Dashboard, adding filters and refreshing the page, removes all filters again. This makes using the dashboard really unpleasant.
  1. Allow me to add URLs/Links to an item. We need to connect the Cloud Diagnostics items to our bug-tracker and abuse the Tags field so far. It’s the “UN-2398” tag for example, that represents our internal ticket id. However, being able to just add links to an item would make the experience so much better.

  1. There is a lot of empty space between “metadata items”. I see less data on one screen in the new Dashboard compared to the old Dashboard. It helps me to see more data at time. It was better in the old version.

  1. If the stacktrace text would not wrap, I would find it easier to read. Having an option to turn on/off text wrapping would be beneficial.

Since to much text is cut off as mentioned in this string already, please add a tooltip when the mouse pointer hovers over the URL that displays the entire first line of the error message.

It’s not possible to hide columns. The “Identifier” column is of no use for me, thus I would like to use its space for the “Details” column instead.

I’m unable to sort by the Type, Details, Identifier and Tags column:

I’m unable to sort by more than one column. I want to sort by “Last occurrence” first and then sort this result by “Impacted users”.

This would display a list of the most recent issues (sorted by occurrence first), that’s sorted by the number of impacted users second. Which is what I’m interested in the most.

The tooltip, when I hover the mouse pointer over a custom metadata key, seems redundant. The tooltip just repeats what’s already shown, without providing anything new. What am I missing here?

The # column is too small to display the number 168403, leaving the impression that the sorting is wrong: 16840 first, 47637 second:

Don’t restrict the Tag value field to a dro-down only, allow us to enter text there too, by-passing the dropdown. We use the Tags field for our internal issue tracker IDs and have like a gazillion tags. It would be more efficient for us to be able to just enter the ID there, rather than having to pick it from a list.

When I open the Dashboard, it’s sorted by # by default. When, I hover the mouse pointer over “Last occurrence”, it displays an downwards arrow, indicating when I click, that the list is sorted by “Last occurrence” from highest to lowest. However, clicking Last occurrence causes the arrow to flip and it’s unexpectedly sorted from lowest to highest:

Before clicking “Last occurrence” (notice the downwards arrow preview):

After clicking “Last occurrence” (notice the arrow flipped and it’s sorted wrong):

Do not remove line breaks from Log messages.

What the game actually outputs (in a single Debug.Log call):

How it appears in Cloud Diagnostics (notice the line breaks have been removed):

It seems you added tooltips, thank you! However, the tooltip is a little misplaced at the moment, please see the image below.

Hi Peter,

Thank you very much for sharing this detailed feedback. I have passed this along to our Product and Engineering teams to review and we will share an update in regards to our plan to incorporate this feedback.

Could you finally add an option to delete user reports from Cloud Diagnostics/User reporting without the need of opening the reports to delete one by one ?
It seems like an easy feature to add and It would save us quite some time.

Hi Peter - Could you share what browser and operating system you are using when you are experiencing this tool tip issue?

Thank you for your feedback, pistoleta. The team will review your request and respond back shortly with an update.
