Just wondering if anyone knows in what way unity has collaborated with this anime? I can’t read Japanese so I have no idea!
I think, looking at some of the syntax in the screenshots I’ve seen, they’re using Unity syntax for most of their code. I can’t speak for certain though as I haven’t started the new season yet.
The pictures says:
"ゲームシーン刺作”
Where first part is “Game scene”. Meaning there is probably some sort of in-game footage in the anime, and it was probably rendered in unity.
Which anime is this?
edit:
Reverse search google image has come a long way due, it’s new game.
That title is really throwing me off with such a generic name lol.
You are allowed to use the Unity logo to indicate a product was made with Unity. This doesn’t imply any special collaboration with Unity, beyond them letting us use the engine they built.
Combining the two things I love, anime and unity
Wow, nice catch , it’s quite intriguing
i dont think unity is one the producers of this anime(New game!),in myanimelist information for this anime i cant any name of unity
Good thing no one has suggested they are then.
i dont think unity is one the voice-actors of this anime
Me neither.
will it have a special appearance of unity chan?
You mean the mechanim example character?
Based on that, my guess is what @neginfinity said above
I love New Game! - it’s kind of amazing how relaxing it is to watch a show where the height of conflict is someone eating someone else’s pudding cup by mistake.
Is this really an anime about a game development studio?
… like thats it?
There are anime that are about even less than that. I haven’t watched new game, but slice of life is a fairly popular genre and they are generally about very mundane things. Some of them are even good.
There is games about it too, and in one if you pirate it you will make no money in game because piracy
Game Dev Tycoon did this by releasing a torrent and seeding it, but in that build they are gradually increasing the piracy rate over time until it’s basically impossible to be profitable and win the game.
The hilarious part was the people flaming on the forums about the insane piracy rates (they’re fairly insignificant in the normal game) destroying their company and the devs just saying “Oh well yeah thats because you pirated the game.”
Yep. It’s not-totally-inaccurate, either. They even have an extreme gender imbalance in their studio!
(I mean, it’s not the usual gender imbalance, but…)
