Its hard to see the feel of the game. The video is too small and when enlarged its all pixel-ated.
I agree with you there. The next video will be higher quality and with new features.

uhm… looks boring lighting is bad and buildings are from bootcamp… goodjob though?
It’s too dark, making it very hard to see what’s going on.
If you watch the newest video buildings are not from bootcamp. The problem with lighting is that we need to keep it dark but also being able to see. Not sure how to do that?

Yup. seems to be another darkness generator.
i’d suggest putting minimum ambient lighting (complete black) , and making a red(or any other colour) directional and putting the intensity to about 0.1, creates a ‘dark’ effect i guess. Other than that, add some point lights, and stuff, make them flicker. I found being able to see that zombie in a harsh light is scarier than no light.
Yeah that’s true. I was thinking adding main lighting in the main play locations. So then the zombies come out of the dark after. We will also be adding a flashlight.

Why not just put a web player?
flashlight, battery life. Hobo fire cans, and other light sources.

It feels like you’re trying to make stuff that already exists. Most of your features are in left 4 dead and l4d2, have you played either of those?

I agree, right now it’s looking very cliche, and yes I have played those games. Basically we are trying to make a solid zombie shooter. From there we have many unique features that we will be adding. Think about mind craft where you can make many items to use and also make many buildings. That is something that we will be adding. Sounds odd I know :).
Take a look at Left 4 Dead’s art style. They do some clever tricks to help you see in the dark, such as a low light fog to make close objects stand out against the lighter background. If you own the game I definitely recommend playing it through in Commentary mode as you get a great insight into their design decisions.
