New Graphics Card for Unity

Now when the graphics card manufacturer has put their “cards” on the table, it’s time to pick one.

I’ve been in the nvidia camp for a long time as the radeon cards used to have issues with my 3d software (Maya) in the past, I don’t know what the state is there at the moment.

At first I’d though I’d bag a gtx 1070…which I sort of downgraded now to a gtx 1060 as it’s so much cheaper and I think it should still roll pretty well as it should be equal to gtx 980. From a performance point of view I’m more worried about being able to record high quality video from the editor which I had some headache with in the past.

Although the question remains from a developer point of view…I believe all consoles use AMD architecture and so will all new Macs…apparently =O So in order to get more of a like for like performance…maybe it’s better to roll with AMD and RX 480 and leave my beloved nvidia camp.

What do u guys think?
