Got a new ergonomic keyboard, but when playing games, I can't get my character to move seamlessly. I can go forward, but if I try to go forward and off to the right at the same time, I just come to a stop. I'd like to not have to stop and change directions. Is there anything I can do to change this?

Some keyboards don't support certain keys pressed simultaneously. A long time ago I had a keyboard that had that problem with the arrow keys, and it's really annoying. I'd suggest returning it if possible and getting a different keyboard.
