New moderation order

Hello,
I was searching for a subforum about this cause, but I didn’t found any.

Generally I do not like the direction that some game WIP-s just get moved to the “smaller wips”, while it is pretty much clear there is a lot of work in them, and the author really wants responses. I think such “smaller wips” forums should be for really small projects (“a cube chasing a sphere”), not an iOS development with 3d animated characters, effects and narrative.

On the other side it also seems very random, which projects get moved to the “smaller wips” section. I don’t want to point fingers, but come on, there are multiple wip-s in their own thread, which are quite low quality, while a few high quality ones were moved.

It also does not help that when wip-s get moved to the “smaller wips” area, the comments get totally confusing, as it is not clear, which comment is referring to which project.

While I understand that some wip-s are really small and would just litter the boards, altogether I feel this new moderation just makes things confusing, very unpredictable, and unneccessarily harsh.

I open this forum so other people can tell their opinion, maybe most of you like it this way.
cheers
Kalamona

The smaller wips that have their own thread are from before the new rules were created. The forums software does not allow for them to be merged in that direction, and they will fall off the main page over time.

A thread here is not for just for feedback but for project tracking. Create a log of your work, and follow the rules for this area. I really want wip to be a clean and solid resource for users of unity. Having many threads with 2-4 responses is messy and confusing. These responses could easily just be put in the small works thread.
