There is supposedly a new VR/AR headset from a new company called Sulon Tecnology. Watch their video looks pretty sick.
Haha - I like that floorboard trick near the end, very nice, could see that getting the adrenaline operational. 
It’s not really a Rift competitor though, since it’s wireless and incorporates AR - it’s something different again. Lots of ideas for outdoors geocaching games with this device…generating virtual loot and enemies around the neighbourhood, casting spells and particle effects on your friends. It actually has the potential to be huge with the right software.
