As written in the title, whenever i create a new project and select 2D, the project still opens up in 3D.
Even after going in the editor settings in project settings and changing the default behaviour mode to 2D the project still remains as 3D and i have to restart unity and then the project becomes 2D.
But the problem doesn’t end here. If i create a new scene, the new scene is created in 3D and not 2D and i have to again change the behaviour mode from 3D to 2D and restart unity which is very time consuming.
I can tell the difference in a 3d and 2d project in unity. And … I dont think that button changes anything in the game view. The game view shows the project is 3d
The 2D 3D setting in setting up a project does only change the startup state of that button not more not less.
The game view is dependent on you camera settings.
Switch the projection settings from Perspective(3d view) to Orthographic(parallel / 2D).
