Could we have a separate section for people selling tutorials please ?
They need their own section surely ?
My rationale is that some people freely give their tutorials to the community but there seems to be an increasing number of people who want to make money.
Whilst I have no problem with the concept of capatilism, I feel that ‘they’ should be clearly transparent and not embedded within a generally generous community
I don’t understand where you are coming from - and where would I put my tutorial set?.. The first 10 hours are free, which is no small amount, and every remaining part is only a token $9.99. (I spend 40+ hours per week on these, not sure that is classed as ungenerous?!)
I realise you don’t agree with paying for tutorials (you did make a post on mine telling everyone not to pay), but we do have to live too.
I’m not sure what the answer is to keep everyone happy. The ‘Teaching’ forum is the smallest of them all with under 2000 posts and not a great deal of daily change. If it was a wash with stuff like the collab board I could see your point.
You know… I get the same ill feeling when I read a post like this that I get when I read some person on iTunes complain that the free version of an app isn’t big enough. Or that $3.99 is too much for a kid’s app. No need to go into the vast array of spicy adjectives that come to mind. Folks not focused on handouts know exactly what I mean.
Can I have a forum just for me where only posts I want to read go into it please? I’m really finding it too much trouble to simply not read the topics that don’t interest me or to stop reading if I find something I don’t like. It would just be much more efficient if the filtering was done for me.
