Hello everyone! I am working on a new SkyBox system, which I plan to release for free if enough people are interested. Please check it out and provide feedback on what you like, don’t like, etc. I would love to hear all feedback. Also, please share this with your friends, and fellow developers. Thanks!
Poll added. Still looking for feedback, good or bad.
Hey Eternal - can you provide some info about how this is different than the built in system? Improvements over the current system, and benefits on using this instead of the current system.
Im interested - but know little of the current system so trying to compare the two would only result in confusion at this point.
Thanks
Thanks for the post. Unity 5 has the new procedural lightmap shader, which is what you see when you start a new scene (or at the beginning of attached video). At the end of the SpeedTutor video they add the standard Skybox, a 6 sided cubemap. The problem with this is you get what you see. The 6 sided cubemap is static pictures. No moving clouds, no day / night cycle, nothing. I am attempting a more fluid SkyBox like that seen in UDK.

I appreciate all the votes. If you voted “Needs more work”, I would like to hear where work is needed so I can get working on it. As well, please note this demo only uses two clouds, but many many more can be added easily.
Interesting to see the new version or final , i think is good for something basics or who don’t need so much great Sky, For me is good. i think need better solution fors ambient intensity or better textures for clouds
I didn’t think there was a lot of interest, so didn’t post the newest version. Give me a day or so and i’ll clean up any issues and send it to you if you would like.
Ohh
Thanks a lot. There no a problem with the time, Right now in my game i don’t need a skybox because is it all in interiors but in future i can put a good use.
And changing of theme, you received the link of source code of Strumpy Shader Editor, I see you reply there about a link to check.
