New to game making - Any advice tips articles

Hello everybody,

I’m new at this forum and I have been playing around with Unity3 for 3 days on and off. I’m very interested in learning to program object logics for games, such as 3rd person cameras and so on. I study computer science 3rd semester in A.P. in programming and we are using C# so I think it will be a good starting point for me. I had math at a level in high school so I know a bit about vectors in 2d and 3d but I would like to find a article or a book which can explain how to use Vector calculus in game programming.

So any advice will be taken with open mind. I have create a project where I can add new items and features. (The plot will have something to do with WoD but it’s just for the learning process).

Regards Martin

Can someone recommend this book: http://www.amazon.com/Mathematics-Programming-Computer-Graphics-Development/dp/1584500379 ?

3DBuzz.com will have a video tutorial course (a couple of them) dedicated to Unity v3.0 pretty soon, check this page out for more information and listen to the radio show.
Link with information: http://www.3dbuzz.com/vbforum/content.php?169
Link to radio show with the latest update on this course: http://www.3dbuzz.com/vbforum/sv_radio.php
Listen to the one from Octobre 29, 2010, it is 4 hours long BUT, start listening at the 4:42 minute exactly, they will talk about the upcoming course for the next 50 minutes, EXTREMELY important information.
The videos will be free to download and learn from.
The programming language that will be used will be C#.

Thank you. I will take a look into it.

the 3DBuzz videos on c# and unity are very fun and helpful… so is there radio show btw…
