New to the community

I have spent the last 3 days having fun with unity. I did the Lerpz platform game tutorial to start. It is extremely informative! I then read up more on the documentation. The documentation is very clear, this pleased me greatly.

Pleased with the results on the game, clarity of documentation, and experiences so far I bought the indie license. So now it’s time to start making games with this awesome software.

A friend and I are already working on converting some models we made for other platforms to be compatible for unity made games. So this will be the main learning area for us. That is getting our models to interact in unity appropriately.

Our goal is to create several smaller games as learning tools with unity. So hopefully there will be something we have made soon, and I’ll post some progress updates in the appropriate forum section.

So here’s +1 more fan of unity.

Great, welcome!

Greets, Mercury!

The platform game tutorial was the thing that got me well and truly sold on Unity. I felt like I’d really accomplished something when I could actually run through and play the game at the end … there’s a lot to be said for providing nice assets like that and building them into a tutorial.

Anyways, welcome to the community

Welcome - your initial experiences with Unity are certainly very common around here - the quality of the docs was what sold me the most!

Welcome aboard!

Welcome to Unity! I think you’ll find people around here to be very helpful when you inevitably ask for help.

I’m a bit late to the party (seems to be a trend lately) but I’m here none the less so…

Welcome aboard!

Look around, have fun and post up any questions as we’re all here to help.

Welcome !
