New to the ..... game.....

I’m a UI/UX Designer / Graphic designer

I have recently been hired by a company as a UI designer, and they are developing a 3D/VR software in Unity.

I have to face the challenge of exporting graphic elements and assets of the interface I’m working on for Unity.

They have mixed opinions on which prototyping software is best to use and which kind of files (.png or .svg) are going to be more effective for the cause.

Never prototyped anything that was going to be developed in Unity, so I need some help.

They are keen to use Sketch, which is ok, but I feel much more comfortable, for a number of reasons, in XD.

Any suggestions / tips / opinions?

They have quite different purpose. Or more like different way, how they store image data.
I think you need define differences, and tick boxes, for which format is (more) suitable for your project.
