hello everyone ,im new to unity,and will be making a first person horror game thats set in a school,and i need some help,its not gonna be a huge map it will be a average size map,and so i dont what program i can use to make the map,such as the floors,walls,doorways,roofs is there anything program that someone can suggest i use,that covers what i listed? thanks,hope to hear from somebody

If you are looking for some free software, nothing beats Blender.

Unless you don’t plan on releasing work commercially, in which case claim you’re homeschooled and get any and all Autodesk software for free.
But only do that if you can afford to download 3GB+ per application. Otherwise go for blender 
Only download blender if you have a bucket to vomit in once you see how terrible it is

Hahahaha, blender is a nice tool if your not planning on doing anything in the industry. If you are, throw blender in the trash and get Max or Maya.
Why… say X starts at 5, Y starts at 1:
X = 567890
Y = 234567
See, X is still better then Y.
Zbrush IMO is the only big one that will stick around, I think in like 5 years Modo will be what most people will use(well I havent used it but from videos it looks more “normal” then the other crazy tools)

Let’s put it this way:
Blender is a fantastic tool for commercial use for those who can’t afford Maya, Max, or Modo. If you can afford those, however, Blender is rubbish. It has the potential to be very powerful, but that is ruined by the unintuitive user interface. There are a quite few features that are not as easy to use and don’t works as well as they do in the big guns like Maya or Max. Zbrush is also good, but it also is fairly expensive relative to free and did not have animation last I checked.
