New to Unity. Is Navigating the Interface by Voice-Recognition Possible?

(I THINK that I searched for answers correctly. Most of the ones that seemed vaguely similar have to do with gameplay, not fiddling with Unity itself.)

Windows 10 Pro 64 bit operating system, X 64 base processor
no pen or touch input (since I cannot use it anyway)
two button mouse (that I can’t use)
Nuance Dragon Professional Individual, version 14

I don’t really know what else would be useful for you to know. Now to my question…

Since I have difficulty playing games by voice (unless they are turn-based and probably from 1985-1990), I thought it might be fun to try to design a game that I could play. Eventually.

I’m having trouble even navigating the interface. For example, I do not seem to be able to zoom. I’m sure that someone else has faced this already, there’s probably a little document somewhere giving the hints. Can somebody please point me to that tool?

And yes, I’m also asking Nuance a similar and parallel question.

You could probably build editor extensions to make this all possible. The editor is easy to extend. But by default I don’t think Unity had accessibility in mind.

Wouldn’t surprise me if others have faced this accessibility problem but unfortunately to my knowledge the tool you want us to point you towards simply doesn’t exist. Any solution would likely have to be made to run directly inside the editor since Unity uses their own solution for the user interface which isn’t going to be compatible with tools that interact with native OS UIs.

You would have better luck looking for third party solutions that allow you to use eye tracking and voice commands to control your mouse and keyboard. Last I visitied the local college for people with disabilities (Wilson Workforce and Rehab Center) that was the way they were handling computer accessibility.

Thank you thank you for the information that I wasn’t overlooking something obvious. My search will continue…

I will let you know if it works for me. Whether it does or doesn’t, it may be useful for another person.
