new tree system?

I’m trying to use my own tree meshes with the new terrain system, and it says a material is missing? I’m seeing the materials on the object in the viewport when I drag it into the scene, but if I try and add it to the tree sections of the terrain, it says it can’t create a prefab because it’s missing a material.

I’m using a .fbx file and it’s in a folder in my assets folder called ambient-occlusion. Do the materials need to be in a certain place? Are there certain steps I need to take when applying the nature occlusion shaders to the mesh? The mesh is one piece and has 2 materials applied to it, the bark and leaf materials.

If anyone can go into more detail on the process than the docs do, that would be really helpful…

Take a look at one of the built-in trees.

Are the materials using the same shaders?
Does your tree have more material slots?

Is anything else different?

Apparently it’s working now…I restarted my system again and it just started working without making any changes.

I had looked at the built in trees and I believe I have everything set up the same way. If I run into the issue again I’ll try and figure out what is causing it.
