Hey everyone,… I’m a bit confused on this.
So I’ve signed up for the developer program, created a new project… but do I need a NEW App Id and provisioning Profile for every new scene?
What if I just want to run the startrooper iphone example?
I got an error that says,… IphonebundleIdentifier has not been set up… so I set that up with just generic company info … and also says I have to create a Provisioning profile with the same identifier and install it in the Xcode Organizer Provisioning Profiles. ?
Where is the xcode Organizer?
thx
Thanks.
So “no code can go onto an Iphone until it is signed”, means I have to go through the entire certification process just to view startrooper?.. seems like a lot of steps.
Hi,
Yes…and that goes for every application/game.
I think, If you set up your application ID as (wildcard)(*), it will ease things for you while testing.
all you need is to change it within unity (from player settings). to give it a good name (test1, test2…etc)
and, when you are ready for a release, you just go on and make the whole thing. from A - Z.
That is how I managed to do it.

Wow,… ok… well thanks for the explanation.
ok… a few more questions… I’ve got the UnityRemote.xcodeproj open…but…i’m not seeing devices in the xcode Organizer? This is odd.
Which version of iPhone OS do you use?
also, your OSX, which version?
Did you had a recent upgrade?
If not, Please do.
Also,…Make sure to connect your device (iphone)…for me…I forgot about that…and It just got crazy
T
Just upgraded my iphone to version 3.01 i believe.
mac osx 10.5.8
2ghz intel core 2 duo
And its connected for sure,. itunes sees it.
thx for the help
did you install the certificate to authorize your iphone?
The AppleWWDRCA.cer?.. Yeah… i think so… i ran it, and the KeyChain Access opens, and under Certificates it says it is valid.
If i select ‘login’, on the right it shows
Apple Worldwide Developer, a public key and a private key.
And I can see my iphone as a registered device in the iPhone Developer Program portal.
reboot both, the iphone and the Mac, then …I think you’ll find your iphone in the organizer.
Let me know how did it go
Ah… i found it. Never used Xcode before, so after opening the UnityRemore.xcodeproj I had to go to Window ‘organizer’ to see devices.
Says the OS 3.0.1 is not supported… nice.
Should I install the iPhone OS 3.1 beta 3, or try to rollback my phone?
better to rollback your iphone…
keep me posted

Nice… wish me luck,.(ass phone catches on fire)
thx for the help
Ugh… unable to roll back my phone. Will there be a problem running OS 3.1 beta 3 sdk and xcode with Unity?
thx
Im sorry…I didnt used it yet…
you should try, it might help…
Still says its incompatable even though I installed Xcode 3.1 beta… grrr
