News summary which notable features are new / improved and how Unity fares as a whole since 1 year ago (possibly on external sites)?

I’ve been not utilising Unity nor visiting its website for about 1 year.

I look for news what Unity 6 brings new / better to the table than its predecessor.

I skimmed through the homepages menu but didn’t see a “news” section.

I’m sorry for you being angry if you feel enraged by my lack of research.

Do other people know about resources other than the release notes, possibly from 3rd parties such as on YouTube, which mention what I’m looking for? Which are they ?

Also, I’m interested about gossip how Unity fares as a whole: employee numbers, profitability, employee feelings, user feelings.

Unity did release a roadmap recently.

I haven’t really looked at it. From my understanding Unity 6 is mainly a rebranding of 2023 and any real changes wont be until Unity 7. That said they did add Behavior graphs recently which is the first new feature I’ve cared about for a while.

The unity behavior graphs look interesting, have you tried it to see how it compares to existing assets like behavior designer / node canvas?

Haven’t used Unity’s behavior graphs yet, I think I’ll spend the next few weeks trying it out. I feel like those existing assets are probably more mature than behavior graphs but I personally prefer to avoid 3rd party solutions if possible. I normally just make my own basic system for behavior trees but it is nice to have a visual graph and debugging features. In the past I’ve used HTN planners instead of behavior trees.
