NGUI and uGUI

Hi all!
Newbie Question here.
I got pretty far in making my first game, it’s a type of base building rts game.
I started out making everything with cubes, spheres, planes etc. and using the unity gui, which is awesome and helped me learn a lot quickly.
i basically finished everything from the game mechanics, and it works, but it looks like crap, so following the advice of a helfpul member here i started buying assets to integrate.
one of them requires ngui.

would you mix the two?
I have tried and some issues with sizing panels and canvases.
adding the ngui camera, does somehow mess up the anchoring of existing buttons. (but this is probably just me, i found it harder to get the hang of than the existing ugui)

Or would you try to repurpose it to work with ugui (*looked at code seems possible).
it’s the building placement asset.
PPS i created a similar script which works fantastic from the rts tutorial i found here in the forums. but this one adds the slope function and highlights the right size on the tiles below.

thank you in advance!

ngui has it’s own forums. You’re probably going to find more people that know about that there than here.
