Nightvision googles for Unity pro

Here are some nightvision goggles I made for fun with unity. I only used the standard special effects provided with the pro version.

They are activated with 1 2 3 4 5 and 6 (under F1, not the numbers keypad).
0 reset to the default camera.
“L” for the flash-light.

I’ll probably sell these in a small package on the asset store.

  1. The infra-red: poor quality goggles that the player should find at the beginning of the game. They only lit red stuff as you can see with the blue and red door.

Light amplification devices.
2) the green one is very blurry as you can see if you move the camera.

  1. The red works better and doesn’t have a huge drawback.

  2. I also added a thermal vision. It is not realistic here since my scene isn’t set up for that.

  3. This is a cat’s eyes effect: you can see in the dark but no colours and no details over distances.

  4. The last one is the Rolls-Royce of night-vision goggles but it is a bit too efficient if you ask me. I think this kind of equipment should have a massive drawback in order to make a game interesting.

  5. the default camera so you can compare.

nice!

Looks great
It’s a bit hard to move in the scene because W is actually Z (because you’re french?)! A, S and D works fine.

Yep, French keyboards aren’t the same but I set it up the arrows as a parallel inputs so everyone can navigate properly. I intend to make a switch WASD/ZQSD in the menu.

I just added up some other nightvision effects as you can see in my first message. “N” doesn’t work anymore.

New styles added to the différent views.

Really great work.

This really does like like one of the best (if not the best) NV implementation I’ve seen for Unity. Any decisions on whether to release on the asset store and if so, when? I’d love to get my hands on this!

Thanks for your comment Eikon.

I hope to release it in less than a month: the NV system itself is done but I also want to provide a clear PDF tutorial to explain how to properly use it and how to easily customize the views to suit your game.

Any suggestion about what I should implement is welcome.

Hi Marc Saubion your works are really Great. I am waiting for your tutorial…

Hey Marc - Any update on this?
