NJG Minimap [Released]

NJG MiniMap it’s a easy to use, highly configureable World Map / MiniMap solution powered by NGUI and unity built-in GUI.

You can easily create/generate any type of Minimap/World map you want without writing a line of code. Just add a class to your game object and it will be tracked by the system displaying an icon representing it.

The price will be $45, I’m adding new wizards to create the Map just like NGUI does with it widget wizard, so its going to be even easier to create a new one from scratch.

I’m going to submit tonight within few hours, should be any time this week if they approve it of course.

Btw, I’m adding another new feature which is the ability to set a name for your world on the editor titles of minimap and world map will be updated also added a new class called WorldZone which basically will have a sphere collider and name so if your player enter in that zone the world name will be updated for that zone, going to post an updated demo soon.

Just submitted it to the asset store, also update it the demo, added a zone editor if you want to have zones on your levels.

this able to dynamically generate mini-maps?

Yes, it generate the mini-map + world map texture automatically or you can set the texture manually, I going to add a feature that will make possible to save the textures + some other features I’ve in mind.

Will be on the asset store as soon as unity team approves it.

  • NEW: Its now possible to generate a texture manually during edit time and save it.
    Giving you freedom to grab a photo of your scene and make a nice map on photoshop or whatever tool you want.
    An demo scene has been added.
  • NEW: Some modifications to the inspectors.
  • NEW: Added a key option to the Minimap class to toggle the world map.
  • NEW: Minimap Icons root now will follow uiTexture rotation.
  • NEW: Minimap inspector now have exposed the border radius limit, icons will get culled if they get farther this radius.
  • FIX: Icons no longer make scaling animation on the world map.
  • FIX: Minor fix where UILabelCoords was displaying the letter Z instead of Y.

I made those icons in photoshop :slight_smile: … the asset would not be on the store if they were from kolmich map system <.<

The lights on the map? whats wrong with that?.. tbh with you I made this minimap system months ago even before KFG was released the proof is here http://game.ninjapvp.com… its all NGUI nothing based on another camera displaying a plane with the photo of the scene… hope this clears your doubts if not let me know :slight_smile:
