NO ADS on the asset store

While I am sure Rick’s crowdsourced/crowdfunded medieval rpg game will be a smash hit
the ad for it belongs on mmorpg, mmohut etc., not on the asset store.

Want to plug some developers game? …put it in the gallery or on the front page, not the asset store.

Will I see ads from Microsoft next?

I guess if enough money changes hands anything can and will happen.

Its a game being made in Unity, doing a Unity Jam and offering up Unity Pro as one its rewards.

I’m with you Cogent it may be a beautiful project with good prizes, but it’s still an ads.

If Unity wants to pimp a project doing a Unity Jam more power to them. More people will see it being on the asset store than on the front page or gallery section,

The thing is the asset store is called that for a reason, I’m pretty sure they could advertise it in a better way.

The SOA ad offers no assets free or for sale. It belongs somewhere else.

It can be “pimped” where it belongs.
