As the title says, I press play in the editor and there is no audio, but when I press play in the timeline, it works fine.
Driving us a bit mental here. Using Unity 2018.3.11f
Tried all manner of changes, but could be missing something. When I press the play button again to stop, I can hear a small bit of audio coming through for a split second.
Tried: On/Off, resetting Unity, updating drivers, changing audio devices, changing levels, starting unity without other programs running.
Any help or ideas are welcome!
Is “Mute Audio” turned on in the game view?

Didn’t add that to my little list, sorry. Yes, I tried it a few times. I read another post that it resets after a few presses so I tried a fair few times.
Is the camera in range of the audio source… 3d or 2d sound?
There’s a mix of 3d and 2d sounds. The camera is within the range of the 3d sound, I’m not sure how to check the 2d sound range.
Still getting audio stopping working, but also getting times where it starts working and stops again randomly. Bit hard to test without that play mode sound, you only miss it when it’s gone!
