I’m wondering, if this is real, or am I missing something: I find that there are only like 15 predefined hotkeys in Unity, and no possibility to create new ones without scripting. I browsed the forums, but didn’t find anything helpful, only questions without answers, and some pointless arguements…
Someone please help! Having to click all the time really slows down my workflow
If it needs a script to set up the shortcuts, could someone please send me one by mail? deriur@gmail.com
Yeah, that list is helpful, but I’ve already known most of thos hotkeys. The ones I miss the most would be shortcuts for directions (top/front/perspective), and types (wireframe/textured, etc.) of the scene view. I change those quite often, and I might not be the only one
Do you guys click on the gizmo every time you chane those…?
It would be so easy to assign those to the numpads, like in modo for example.
Not anymore. Unity 3 added trackpad gestures for them. The cursor still has to be over the Scene view, but that’s a much larger space, so much faster. Right hand: stylus goes over Scene View; Left Hand: three finger swipes.
It’s very much like sliding to notes on a guitar, and bending, if you’re two-handed tapping.
